Event

Friends:

Remember in “Fahrenheit 911” when members of the Congressional Black Caucus tried to challenge the 2000 election, but couldn’t get a single Senator to join them? Well, we can’t allow this to happen again!

On January 6, Congress will convene to ratify the Electoral College votes in the 2004 Presidential Election.  Congressman John Conyers (D-Michigan) and other Representatives plan to challenge the electoral vote count due to election irregularities and the appearance of illegality in the vote and recount.  See http://www.truthout.org/docs_04/123104W.shtml

Please call your Senators and Representatives and encourage them to join Congressman Conyers in challenging the validity of the election. We must restore confidence in our democracy! You can call toll-free at 1-800-839-5276.

For a slide show overview of concerns about possible election fraud, please visit http://www.ElectionFraud2004.org (note: once you’ve opened the slide show, click on the button in the lower right-hand corner to view the presentation more easily). In Linda Byrket's documentary Video the Vote you will witness the shameful voter suppression tactics deployed to deny predominantly African American communities of Ohio their right to vote.  Researcher-analyst Warren Stewart will describe the mysteries of New Mexico's national record for undervotes and phantom voters that resulted in a 1% margin awarding the state's electors to Bush. ReDefeat Bush founder David Lytel will provide an insightful preview of the crucial electoral contest starting just days from now.
